A Question for Each Morning
"How do I live out my contemplative vocation today?"
I have a lovely friend I met through the monastery. She is a gracious and elegant woman who became widowed about six years ago, no children, and now lives alone in a beautiful condo on the Gulf Coast. She is far too humble to ever call herself a mystic, but she embraces a sense of herself as a contemplative. She once told me that every morning she prays this question:
How do I live out my contemplative vocation today?
